Tillandsia Ehlersiana is native to Mexico, where it grows mainly clinging to rocks at latitudes up to 800 metres above sea level.

It has a bulbous base and thick leaves, covered with an infinite number of trichomes that give it a silvery appearance. In its inflorescence, it produces a central spike of pink bracts from which its purple tubular flowers emerge.
Tillandsia Ehlersiana is a slow-growing but highly reproductive plant, forming large clumps.
It requires very generous ventilation as well as shady sites and is sensitive to low temperatures.
