Tillandsia paleacea is a species native to countries such as Bolivia, Colombia, Chile and Peru, where it grows and develops on rocks or sand in desert areas and sometimes on undergrowth, in many latitudes between coastal areas, even reproducing in places over 3,000 metres above sea level.
Tillandsia Romeroi Gruberi is a variety of Tillandsia Romeroi, native to the department of Antioquia in Colombia, where it grows and develops at latitudes ranging from 2000 to 2400 metres.
It is a species of the Argentine Chaco forest, their presence has been noted in several countries in South America (Uruguay, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador).
