Tillandsia Stellifera is native to Peru, where it grows and develops in clumps on cliffs with large vertical walls, at latitudes ranging from 2500 to 3000 metres above sea level.

Size

This specimen is very similar to the Tillandsia Tectorum Mini, it has a centipede shape with a silvery colour due to the large amount of trichomes that it accumulates on its small leaves.

In its inflorescence it swells at its upper end, giving way to a red-coloured spike from which small flowers emerge in colours that can vary between white and purple.

It requires a very generous ventilation with almost continuous air currents, strong lighting as well as medium-low humidity levels.

It is necessary to dry it after a total soaking, which should only be done in summer and if the heat is very extreme.
